Aan het eind van kwartiel 2 doen jullie tentamen in een of meerdere van bovenstaande vakken.

Op owinfo staat voor kwartiel 2 een tentamendatum in de laatste 2 weken van januari genoemd; dit is de tentamen poging voor de niet Electrical Engineering studenten.

Alle Electrical Engineering studenten (ook oudere jaars en HBO-schakelaars en HBO minor) doen tentamen voor de bovengenoemde vakken in de eerste 2 weken van januari.

Deze tentamens vinden eerder plaats In verband met het project OO 2.1 (5AF34) dat in de laatste twee weken van januari zit.

ES Group has currently several Graduation Projects and Internship Positions available in collaboration with NXP and other high-tech companies.

These positions are in various fields of Development and/or Implementation of Hardware Processor and Accelerator Architectures for advanced multimedia, (wireless) communication and encryption.

These Graduation Projects and Internship Positions are related to different video processing, encoding and encryption algorithms for the future demanding multimedia, communication and encryption standards. These algorithms are highly computation intensive and due to high-speed requirements of the future demanding standards their software implementations are not sufficient. They have to be implemented in hardware and their architectures have to be application-specific.

This requires adequate architecture development and modeling (e.g. in SystemC, C or Verilog), design-space exploration, simulation and synthesis using various modern electronic design automation tools, and finally, hardware implementation of the selected architectures using the standard back-end hardware synthesis tools.

The Electronic Systems Group (ES) invites students interested in the related Graduation Projects or Internship Positions.

We are looking for students which have done/are doing some computer architecture and digital circuit design courses, and have a reasonable working knowledge of C/C++ or have used SystemC, or Verilog, or VHDL. Affinity with video processing, encoding or encryption is a plus.

The students can start their projects on a very short notice.

Master students can register on studyweb, there are no prerequisites.

Prerequisites for Bachelor students:

For Bachelors: All OO's and professional skills have been finished.

You have a minimum of 160 credits

HBO Bachelors: You have finished the Deficiency program

This Graduation Contract needs to be approved by your Graduation Supervisor and hand in before starting the Graduation Project. The computer keeps track of the number of total weeks spent on the Graduation Project.

"Documentary information: A practical introduction to methodical literature research in electrical and information engineering".

This English-language course concentrates on academic literature research in electrical and information engineering using digital documentary information systems made available by the University Library.

The participants' personal (literature) research projects will be used as carrier in practical exercises.

The course takes two afternoons, and will take place on 17^th and 18^th June 2009, both days from 13:30 – (about) 17:00 hrs. in the Library instruction room, De Hal 1.05 (street: Het Kranenveld).

Participation is optional and free of charge.
