There are three levels of participation:

Strategic partner

Commitment for structural and shared funding in program(s) for 6 yrs
Influence on and support for those programs
Entrance fee
Other special benefits (see "strategic partnership details" below)

Project partner

Commitment for individual projects
Only “by invitation”

Research partner

Similar role to internal CWT/e groups
Aligned/shared roadmaps
Preferred partners in Dutch or European programs

Entrance fee for access to  accumulated knowledgestarts at € 0 (growing from May 9th 2008)distributed according to accumulated sharesgives free access to consulting on accumulated knowledge

Funding
Money (standard 3TU rates)
Delegation of employees working toward PhD

Joint control by program board
definition of roadmap & program
definition & selection of projects & project partners

Shares
Participation level buys “shares” in program
All program income (incl. future) will be distributed

Opt-out
Give up claims on all future program results & income
